You begin saving the world by saving one person at a time. Anything else is grandiose romanticism or politics.
Kelvin.
The look of an old and mature soul, grasped in a body of a 2 years old, when his actual age was 6.
Do you remember him?
My companion, the kid who was abandoned in an empty house by his family, left without food or water for
days, remained muted and disabled after the brutal experienced.
The failure to utilize one’s talents and gifts, I saw as I already mentioned to the women who was running the children’s home I was working for.
I don’t know if it was sloth or negligence, maybe she was not touched by the destiny of this kids, but while volunteering in there, she was
demonstrating quite a disinterest about the children and the work that needed to be done in the orphanage. Staying all the time in her office not making any
effort to look outside and take care of those marvelous kids. Taking her salary, which was an amount of 7 middle African ones, she was convinced that
she is doing her job right while the kids were daily suffering.
This is Africa! Repeatedly everyone was saying this to me while I was searching external help to make the place run better with more efficient
results and be more prospective for the kids. This is Africa! It was almost a question of take it, Paris, the ugly way it is, take it, or leave it! This
is Africa again and again and nobody would understand until someone else has the heart and patience to make a difference, because “This is Africa”
is not a reality, but only a condition which could be easily changed by people united by one good will or idea.
When people abandon their frustrations and turn into people willing to change. Unfortunately many Africans have grown up in the “reality” that “suffocates”
them everyday and at a certain point they loose their hope. I understand them very well and never will I judge them for that because even I have grown
up in one of the poorest countries in Europe and I know what it is like growing up in the ambience that “not everything is possible”, that your dreams are less
valid than someone else’s just because of his origin. Happily I am blessed with a family and friends that “saved” me from this mindset and made me “hustle”
my dreams and future. I received the blessing of education and saw honest work within it, something that in a developing country is hardly appreciated or morally
accepted.
And if I can say something to every person in this world living in a developing country, If I can say something to every beautiful soul I have worked with in
Africa, if I can say something to the manager of the children’s home, to my coworkers, to every single human being in this world it is
My soul honors your soul. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty and peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these
thoughts we are united, we are the same, we are one. You are everything I am, you are valid, your actions dreams, moral, they are all valid. Together we can do
everything with love and acceptance, we can change what surrounds us only by our good vibes and grace! No one can judge you because inside of him there are
the same blood vessels running trough your own body. Grace and peace, so much love, for a better world! From now on you are free, from now on – You choose!
